I do not take insurance but can give you paperwork to submit for your out-of-network benefit reimbursement (I can help you figure out what this means if you need help!). I charge $275 for a regular 45-minute session and prorate for longer sessions.
Are you in-person or online?
I currently offer online therapy through a secure platform. (You must be physically located in NYS for sessions due to licensure issues.) I plan to add in-person sessions in the future but don’t yet have a timeline.
What type of therapy do you use?
I blend a person-centered approach with tools from IFS, CBT, DBT, psychodynamic theory, and harm reduction. I support executive functioning too. I’ve got a full toolbox, not just one wrench.
Will I have to talk about childhood trauma?
Only when you’re ready. You set the pace. The past matters, but sometimes the present is louder.
Do I have to be ready to change?
Nope. You don’t even have to know what you want. If all you can say is, “I’m a mess,” that’s enough.
What if I use substances?
You’re welcome here. I work from a harm reduction approach, so abstinence isn’t required and you won’t get a lecture.
Can we talk about meds?
Absolutely. I don’t prescribe, but I speak psychiatrist-ese and can collaborate with prescribers.
Will you wave your magic wands at me?
Only if you want me to. (They’re props. But excellent for comedic timing.)
Is this confidential?
Yes. As a licensed therapist, I follow strict confidentiality laws. There are a few safety exceptions, which I’ll explain clearly when we start.
Still not sure? Come as you are. We’ll figure it out together.
